GLOBAL GOLF ADVENTURES
Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estate has four golf courses to offer the
golfing visitor. All the courses are renowned for their amazing year round
condition and the attention to detail that is shown.
THE MONTAGUE and OUTENIQUA
These two world-class parkland layouts rated in the top 10 South African
courses. Both courses are very similar and present a true test of golf in
aesthetically beautiful surroundings.
The Links course opened in November 2000 and presents a very special, and
unique to South Africa, golfing experience. You really could believe you are
playing golf on the Scottish Coast.
Bramble Hill is the fourth course on the estate and is a Parkland course with
Links features and offers a nice mix of the estate's other three courses. The
course is a public 'Pay for Play' facility and has been designed to offer
golfers of every level a Fancourt experience. As the executive golf director at
Fancourt, Mike Hargreaves is head of all golf operations.
A combination of Olde World charm and contemporary luxuries is what makes the
Fancourt Hotel so distinctive. At Fancourt, guests can choose between a room in
the beautifully restored Manor House or one of the many stately Garden Suites
and Studios, which are all newly refurbished. Whatever your choice, we can
guarantee your holiday or business stay will be most memorable.
At the Manor House, you will find a restful haven in a building with a
history dating back to the beginnings of the 19th century: in 1847 Henry
Fancourt White established a workers' base at the foot of the Outeniqua
Mountains for the construction of the Montague Pass, which you can still travel
on. Now a National Monument, the Manor House with its 34 bedrooms is situated in
wooded parkland and is the perfect base for your leisure or conference
